Anybody joined any of our gyms in Hull?

Which you at?

I'm at Fit24 but lack the motivation to go. Once I get in from work, I can never be bothered.

Metro Gym on Strickland Street is by far the best training facility in the city.

I always make sure I have a session there when I'm back in Hull.

I've just joined the new Gym at Haltemprice Sports Centre. They've just spent millions refurbishing the whole place.

The Gym is excellent, really well equipped.

Nuffield.

Used to go to Fitness First before its demise.

I used to go 3 or 4 times a week, now it's usually just the once.

I'm exactly the same, there is no way in the world I would ever go after work. I'm too hungry and tired and cant be bothered. So I switched it and I go every monring without fail. I just get up 45 mins earlier, drive to a gym near work when there's no traffic around and it works out brilliantly.

This weekend just gone, 24 Seven in Princes Quay had an open weekend. I went over the two days (free) , but they must be struggling for memberships , because the place was empty. I guess they're just Inviting Ppl in , in the hope of a membership. I am at Nuffield , & have been for 6 years & Boy It Does'nt show.

We go to Total Fitness, I find that changing the routine adds interest otherwise it just gets too boring to bother going. I also go to some classes now and again just to change it around, i particularly like the spinning and circuit classes

Likewise Raffles, I alternate btween Nuffield for 3 months & then sign up at 24/7 in St.Stephens on a rolling month , because of the breakup of the mundanity of training & to change the intensity factor.

That's the one I'm signed up at - what do you think of it? (St Stephens fit24)

ive never been to a gym , im in good nick except my belly which probably needs less booze than more exercise - ive thought about going a few times but not sure what i want from it , at 40+ im not needing to bulk up me muscles or lose weight , just my beer gut

One of the reasons I haven't gymmed it as much lately is I've re-found my running shoes*

Ten miles knocked down tonight after work. Can't really walk at the moment.

*not literally, metaphorically.

Where had you left them?

What does metaphorically mean?

Anyone not fit enough for exercise shouldn't do it.
Anyone fit enough, shouldn't need it.
:bandit:

Anyway, fitness comes in three parts; training, rest and nourishment.

I reckon two out of three ain't bad.
