The Chairboys are off to Kent for their final game before the busy Christmas period to take on the Gills, this is the 19th time the clubs have met in the Football league and our record reads W8 D4 L6 with a further 5 cup encounters, our last visit to the Priestfield was a rememberable televised encounter back in February 2013 when in his first year in charge Gareth Ainsworth guided us to a 1-0 win on our way to a mid table League 2 position while the Gills became Champions under the guidance of Mad Dog. Gaz has no new injuries that we know of and Steven Henderson has had his loan extended so it could be an unchanged starting line up but the Beast could make the bench. I'll be following this game via Soccer Saturday and Twitter hoping we can continue our good form and return back around the M25 with a result
Team News Gareth Ainsworth could welcome former Gills frontman Adebayo Akinfenwa back into the squad after injury, while Matt Bloomfield and Marcus Bean have also trained this week and could be in contention. Stephen Henderson continues in goal after signing another seven-day emergency loan deal.
Team news is in at Gillingham, one change for the #Chairboys. Starting XI: Henderson, McCarthy, Jacobson, Jombati, El-Abd, Thompson, Gape, Morris, Onyedinma, Tyson, Samuel. #GILvWYC https://t.co/u4Ek2Xg9MJ
