so your happy with our main striker managing a poultry 10 goals dont make me laugh..have a look at proper strikers on above 15 up to 21 goals already this season. danny is not good enough on his own up front ....we are one of the lowest scoring teams in the premiership and its lucky, very lucky we have a good defence and goalkeeper to keep our goals against at a reasonable level......not good enough on his own but could be a good midfielder that would shine.
I do not have the time, finger endurance, or inclination to pick holes in the translucency of your post Dai, but I cannot help but ask how you consider it "lucky" that we have a good defence? Are you suggesting that Ashley carries a four leaf clover in his back pocket every game and doesn't bother with all that pointless training malarkey?

Dai i love the way you say you 'know your football' then say things which fly in the face of it!! A main striker scoring 10 in his first shot at Premier League football is great and statistically is enough to keep up up. We dont NEED a 15-20 goal striker, one would be lovely and i wouldn't say no but they cost £££££ which we will just not spend yet. Last season SEVEN TEAMS that stayed up DIDN'T have a striker who scored over 10 goals last season (Blackburn's top goal scorer last season netted only 5!!!). ONE team in the bottom half had TWO.....and will be playing the noisy neighbours again some point this season!! Goals don't always lead to success AND I wouldn't say its LUCKY we have a good defence, I would say its astute tactical work by Rodgers knowing that it wont be goals that keep us up it will be not conceding goals. Blackburn AND Bolton have scored more goals than Liverpool this season....which set of fans would you rather be part of right now!!
with that list of people you do realise that he is one goal away from scoring more goals this season than a combined amount of £100 MILLION QUID worth of 'star strikers' playing for some of the biggest teams in the league??
