I'll echo that. Some of his touches were superb and he was unlucky not to score with a great shot. I hope he continues like this because we can't have too many players pushing for a place.

Let's not get carried away on Orlandi. I have always liked him but today he was a placeholder at best. Did ok for somebody playing his first start of the season, but I hope he enjoyed it, cause I'd be surprised if he gets another.
He did more than OK!!! Commentators had him up there for MOTM, it only took an outstanding performance from Dyer for him not to get it IMO. Problem is, I agree that he may not get too many starts but we need to make sure that players that have that good a game keep playing that way and don't demotivate them, Dobbie had a great game against Spurs and then he doesnt play the next game....hoping it doesnt knock him too much!
Yes he Defo knows where the goal is from outside the box seen him a couple of times while he was at reading didn't realise he was so young either. keep up the good work buck, also sure i heard that collymore stated on his talk show on talk sport that he had spoken to buck.last week and we were signing John goossens. anyone else hear this or was i imagining after the euphoria of our first away victory
Dobby had a great game against Spurs and then he doesn't play the next game....hoping it doesn't knock him too much! this is exactly why we are playing better. shanks i remember him saying ..."it dont matter if a player has played well they should still be dropped to the bench if the manager thinks a player is better suited against the opposition in the next game.......Brian clough was like minded he would not let any of his players think they were an automatic selection......
Orlandi had some nice touches, always has, just seemed a yard off the pace, and a few pounds too light. Didnt see him as anything close to MOTM to challenge Dyer.
yes dyer was awesome today and was my MOM followed by danny who held the ball up well, they all played their part today.
Dyer was MOTM by a country mile today, playing at his best, honorary mention for Orlandi, and pleased for Routledge getting his first Prem goal!.............. please log in to view this image
Dyer just missed on another shot in the first half , just missed the far top corner with his right foot ... great effort if he meant it Lol . He also just missed one last game with his left foot that was tipped away by the keeper . Dyer , Allen , Williams & Vorm should tone there game down a bit till the end of the month .... NOT !!
@Beppeswan - I heard Collymore say something along those lines regarding Goosens as well, so let's hope he's correct. I was at the game today and whilst Nathan had a great game, my MOM was easily Ash or Caulker; they were rock solid all game under immense pressure due to the large number of corners that Villa won. Fortunately for us, Ireland has been taking set piece lessons from Mark Gower and continually floated in passive, hanging balls that were easily dealt with by our monumental center backs. Augustien again was our stand out midfielder, picking out passes that Leon and Joey could only dream of. Surely he must be the first midfield name on the team sheet right now? And DG had a solid game, working hard as always, and he was unfortunate not to score one or more of the chances that came his way. Roll on Arsenal and Chelsea!
What a cracking game again. Caulker and Williams, what a pair of centre halves, please let them stay fit the rest of the season. Dyer was outstanding today, goes to show what a bit of competition does for a team. With Sinclair, Dyer and Routledge fighting for position, it makes them look sharper. Kemy looks awesome in midfield, can defend and attack, which again makes Leon, Allen and Gower raise thier game. Cant wait to get Bodde in the mix for that centre MF position to. With the signings and loans we are making to, what a squad. Just hope we spend or invest a bit more on the back 4, a bit of depth will do us good there, as I cant see Monk and Tate doing the same job as Williams and Caulker do. But not the £15000000 Dai wants us to.
when i woke up this morning and saw the result i was elated (unfort work and sleep comes before football), then when i saw the team BR put out i was amazed. very well done BR, hats off to you, i eagerly await watching the replay.
CRJ,surely 15 million,if and i state if 15mill was to keep us up,it would be worth it.Yes i understand many people on both sides, spend and not spend.yes we are now on a high after the last few days, but it can change quickly.I have read comments before about maybe ''5 million is enough,if not and we go down, thats no problem''.i think, if we go down, we will be very lucky if we come back up in the next 5 years.15 mill is not a lot in the football game,i myself think 2 quality and 1 other who will be quality.maybe 5-10,but thats my opinion,if some say 15,well so be it,but at least we did try to stay up,more people would make and comment bad at the end of the season if only 1-5 mill was spent and we went down. They would be saying ,why did we not try to spend a bit more and stay up.I and many people are not saying open the never ending cheque book 10 -50 mill.but dont try to give BR peanuts.Thats my mopinion, and i know we all want the best with Swansea.
Entitled to your opinion, Thaitaffy, but it still amazes me that people continue to equate pound signs with genuine footballing ability. The list of players not living up to their price tags in the last year is exhaustive, and so I find the idea that there is a magic amount of cash that, if spent, will supposedly "guarantee" us Prem football next season to be ludicrous. We could spend £20mill on Darren Bent or £18mill on Jordan Henderson. Would this keep us up? Maybe. Or maybe not. You say " 'if' 15mill was to keep us up, it would be worth it", but what about the other "if"? What if 15mill doesn't keep us up? What if we spend cash that we do not have budgeted for this season on the high-wire gamble that it may bring about a higher profit in the long term? We win? The bank manager is laughing. But in winning we'll also have lost sight of the frugal and sensible financial philosophy that has propelled us to this position in the first place. Perpetual sustainability is the only ambition that any sensible football club should have in this era, and it is brains and imagination, not pound signs, that will keep us heading along that righteous path........amen.
After the performances by the entire squad these last 2 games , whose minutes do we want to cut back on for some high priced transfers . At this point I'd like to see a couple of defenders , cause relegation or not , Caulker will be gone after this season .
