well i think this is not done yet so lets wait and see. also... time to be critical on current crop. shelvey showed some things that were good late on last year but that was compared to no hopers.... adam stands out for me as completely pointless now. Sterling who everyone was screaming for for 6 weeks at the end fo the season seems forgotten and suso never got a game or a sniff but is not the next big thing? I think there's a long way to go before we know what sin rodger's mind.
You've hit the nail on the head with you last point! Rodgers does not yet know what he's got or how they can or cannot adapt to the way that he wants to play. However, with Sigurdsson, he does know the strengths and weaknesses of what he would get. It really is a case of wait and see.
I think he is referring to the fact that Sigurdson was absolute ****e against us that game. I rate him though and, PGF, sureley youd have been happy to sign him. He needs to be one of a few signings though, he wont be the first one on the teamsheet for a while yet. £7m well spent though, head and shoulders above Adam.
