I agree witht thi 'known inside the club' part.

He's been undermined, big time, and if the Bennett story about a 'world class striker, deal done, then not sanctioned' is accurate, that suggests the backing WAS there , and explains Bruce being backed early in the window.

I simoply don't want Gyan back after this though mate, nothing changes that, sadly.

Don't waste your typing fingers on this scum. He has no ambition but a limitless greed and no principles whatever. The league he's gone to isn't anywhere near the Scottish PL, and we take the piss out of that often enough.

    It isn't Bruce's fault.

Should we not have seen this coming when he whinged about no winter break and was allowed a trip home for a week mid-season?

I don't think undermining Bruce mattered - it doesn't matter how many times you shoot a dead duck. People are saying Gyan's been a fool going to a mickey-mouse league. But if SAFC and Gyan have planned this, it didn't matter where he went, just so long as they both made good money.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Gyan back here next season. In fact, I suspect SAFC and Asamoah intend it.

    Agreed.

My point on the 'undermining' was that clearly he's lost the faith from above, so how can he possibly carry on?

Exactly. The surprising thing about that loan on Friday night to me is that SAFC's negotiating team is usually led by ... Niall Quinn. Ellis was unhappy in May (Bruce said so) but Quinn was always the sticking point. If Bruce has lost Niall's support, I wouldn't give him much longer here. And I think Gyan knows it. That's why a player with a lot of international football ahead of him could afford to play in a footballing backwater. He's not staying there and he knows it.
