Could not agree more im not certain whether ainsworth is the long term answer but i think he has enough about him to be able to buy us some time.

I wouldn't mind scott being manager. If you look at all the gripes us fans have had about the previous incumbants. Taylor negative football, Waddock poor signings, lack of change/too late, and not taking responsibility then there are some key attributes that the new man must have and i don't think there asking for too much from either someone who is experienced or just starting out. Either way we have to be patient and not expect a turnaround to happen overnight.
 
Not sure about Ainsworth as a manager,perhaps it would be better to have someone with experience at this level with Ainsworth as assistant.I see the club will be releasing the names of people who have applied later this week which should make interesting reading! :undecided:
 
ainsworth will be fine as a caretaker, he used to do that at QPR whenever they saked managers so he has a lot of experience <laugh> he is not the long term solution though and we need to make sure we get the right man in soon-ish
 
I don't think there is one "right way" of choosing a manager. Many experienced and inexperienced managers have succeeded and many of both types have failed.

For me I want a manager who has desire, the ability to motivate and is tactically aware. That could be experienced or inexperienced.

I like Andy Scott as an option but equally I like Keith Scott as an option.
 
i am happy for ainsworth for now,don't forget brownie and rhino were at qpr as reserve team coaches so along with ainsworth could provide a bit of stability while we sort out a long term appointment.we have had big names like peter taylor ,john gregory alan smith etc and none of them worked out ,so experience is not everything.
