I can't see how there's any way we're going to get a good manager in while Roland's running the show. Even if he sacks his mouthpiece he'll only replace her with another mouthpiece.

I don't expect any "new manager bounce", quite the reverse.
Deep down everybody knew. We just hoped that the board couldn't actually be this inept.
The players probably thinking something similar. So no "new manager bounce" here. I wonder how long he'll last before the manager of Alcorcoron takes over?

It's now on the OS.

Charlton have appointed Karel Fraeye as Interim Head Coach, the club confirmed on Sunday evening.

Following the dismissal of Guy Luzon on Saturday, the 37-year-old Belgian will take temporary charge of the Addicks’ first-team while the club undertake the process to appoint a Head Coach on a permanent basis.

With former Assistant Head Coach Damian Matthew and First-Team Coach David Martane also departing following the 3-0 defeat to Brentford at The Valley, Fraeye will be joined by fellow Belgian Wim De Corte, who joins as Interim Assistant Head Coach, and the duo will take training for the first time at Sparrows Lane on Monday.

Fraeye, who holds a UEFA A coaching license, has previous experience of the club having masterminded Charlton’s upturn in fortunes alongside José Riga at the back end of the 2013/14 Championship season in which the Addicks earned seven wins and three draws in the final 16 games to secure safety and an 18th-place finish, seven points clear of the bottom three.

The Interim Head Coach, alongside his assistant, De Corte, will now prepare for Saturday’s trip to Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium (3pm) as Charlton search for their first victory in 10 league games.

Lost for words. Will they even continue the search for a new manager, or will this just morph from 'caretaker' to 'coach'?

The worst part about it is that there's precious little we the supporters can do to influence RD's decision making.

Bar just not turning up (I know this would be tough for some of you masochistic regulars) I can think of nothing else that would make any sort of impact.

"They" just don't get it, do they?

The only thing that will make "them" understand that they have ruined our Club and are not wanted is a mass boycott of home games, starting with Sheff Wed. It is horrible, it is counter intuitive, but the players have proven with their recent efforts that they don't give a sh1t no matter how many watch them.

We have got to financially bully them out.

This smacks of murray to me. The same stunt he pulled with PP.

Do you remember when Murray announced his "Strategic Review" after Parky replaced Pardew ? PP was given an 8 game trial as manager with with the explicit promise he would be judged on results. 8 winless games later, PP proved he was not up to it but got the job anyway.

Murray's gift to Meire will be a similar script, to be used about Fraeye. Judged on results no....judged on his tiny wage demands and ability to arselick - yes.
