my 606 hasnt been working since saturday night?? its only just came back on but yet you lot have been using it since saturday? anyone else have this
 
Thats not really helping as a title header though is it! Thats bound to upset someone.

As for the "torrent of ****" you had to take, as I remember it most of you mysteriously disappeared from your board for about 2 months so never tolerated anything!
 
I actually disappear for most of the pre season etc as there is nothing to really talk about <ok> however this time around I was flat on my arse with alcohol poisoning after drowning my sorrows for several months on the trot <cool>

not aimed at you chris or anyone in particular, just a comment from me in support of wiz.

some clarification on chris's comment which was once mentioned for me. wiz is 1st of all a football fan. but has taken on the duty of a mod on the city board, to look after the city board. however when he visits other boards, he is not a mod. he is a guest on that board that he visits. again remember he is 1st a football fan after all, so wiz will be wiz and give out banter and take it too. like most people do. this is not a case of wiz giving it out on our board then deleting us from his board. this is a case of wiz giving it out and receiving it but then also doing the duties that he has voluntarily taken on as a mod on his board and dealing with issues that arise. yes this is an open forum but a board belongs to the members of that board, visiting fans on a board are guests.

i have no issues with wiz closing the thread. he is the mod of this board and within reason he needs to show his support to the members of this board. if a member or "several" members of this board go to wiz with issues, then he needs to act as a mod as he has been given the responsability to deal with any issues that arise on this board.

not606 is a massive step up from bbc606 with regards to what gets moderated. wiz has to find the balance between what is and what is not acceptable just like all of the mods on here. none of us mods wants to be strict like bbc606. we want everyone to have freedom on here and let things flow. wiz has been doing this and doing a grand job too at it. however if just 1 member of his board complained to wiz about the thread in question then maybe wiz may have not closed the thread and maybe just asked the member to ignore it for example or handled it in a different way. but wiz said "several" members complained. therefore wiz has done the right thing by him as a mod.


so as a mod myself and im sure YOBG deep down agrees, i support wiz on his actions to delete the thread in question and disagree with the comment of "expected more from wiz".

however as a football fan and a guest to this board, i agree with YOBG that the "several" who have complained to wiz about the thread in question need to man up. this 'gutless' thread is worse in my eyes as it is personal, yet its still here. but the thread thats been closed is just banter yet has been closed due to complaints. it just dont make sense that a personal thread with abuse stays then a banter thread goes! <doh>
the thread in question has only been deleted due to people not accepting the banter during tough times for their club yet happy to give it when the roles are reversed, so they have moaned and complained about it. if the thread in question is bad enough for "several" to complain then i would expect majority of threads on here to close too, to show consistancy with their complaints. i doubt very much it will happen though.

well done wiz, you have my support <ok> but man you have some tarts on here who cant take banter from just a few gasheads over the internet! <doh>
 
For the record this was aimed at the faceless ones who complained as I know from experience most posters on here, certainly the ones I`m familiar with tend to go with the flow.

Maybe my initial outburst was a tad harsh but I think people got the gist. I agree with CJS`s comments above especially with regard to Wize, a good fair and level headed mod.

Wize, for the record you have my blessing to close this thread, I don`t think it will serve to benefit anyone now the point has been proven<ok>
 
Absolutely priceless.

So several City fans take umbrage to the fact that we have a thread on our board entitled 'The Relegation Thread' on our board, our mod tells everyone he's going to lock it and we get the gas mod who created the article (plus their other mod) calling the people who complained 'Gutless ****s'

As if that wasn't enough he's now giving our mod his blessing to close another thread on our board! (Possibly because he realises what a ****ing idiot he now looks?)

Stupid doesn't cover it, you couldn't make this **** up.

Bristol City forum is a public forum but it's very name identifies it with BCFC fans,thats all BCFC fans not just piss takers and all Red opinion will reign supreme,gentle and harsh,Blue opinion is of no consequence here,they have their own board.If any City fans want some form of action taken with regard to activity on our board,they will always get my support and action will be taken if it's necessary and with-in my remit..

As a voluntary mod I participate with-in this board in an honest fashion on behalf of our fans and their opinion,outside influences are considered but if there are any complaints to be made on my actions please feel free to forward them to the super mods and they will deal with it.

Of course the forbidden areas will not be tolerated these are Racism,Bigotry,Family,Discrimination or Someone's Faith...

I can't really add any more to what has already been stated,cjs and YOBG put their thoughts to us in a clear and crystal way for that I thank them.

At the risk of repetition this is a BCFC forum and although there are overiding rules from the owners,our forum is under the control of BCFC fans for BCFC fans and if you like I am just a servant of the cause,just there to keep balance and harmony at their behest and will continue to do so until they,the BCFC fans want change...God I'm glad that's out of the way it's getting boring..

On the matter of yet another suggested deletion,I never delete anything unless BCFC fans makes specific requests or the rules of human decency are being busted,with regard to the "gutless" thread it stays unless Bristol City folk want it removed,I hope it just dies the death it deserves..

With that I am disappearing and back too I hope normality...

Up the City...
