Love the Mags post about the Gus Bus as well!

I'd say the Gus Bus has had a pretty succesful journey, reached its destination of Premiership survival via Wembley, and even ran over a few horrible magpies on the way (twice).

    Happy days!

Well I owe a huge apology to Gus and admit I was wrong. I am still not his biggest fan but what he has done for this club, keeping us up has been miraculous and something I'd never thought would/could happen. Fair play to him.

See I don't get this, what don't you like about him? Where's the weakness? The brand of football he's brought is fantastic. Has hasn't had the funds to be judged in the transfermarket. He's the first to get a second wind out of these players (MoN and Paolo, got some initial response but failed to win them back once their heads dropped again). He's been picking the right team, he been making the right changes at the right time. He's a young manager with limited experience but looked like a seasoned pro in the way he's handled our relegation battle. I just don't see where the dissatisfaction can come from. <confused>

Today is the reason why I'm still not gus's biggest fan. I still think his team selections are doubtful and his signings are yet to be proved. Can I just mention Bardsley's selection today playing out of position and bridcutt looks far from a good player. This is of course my opinion and I really do hope he does well but I do have my doubts.

This is a fair post but remember there`s a hell of a lot of work to be done.

Up to now he`s worked wonders with what he was left with.

imo I will only see progress when the contracts are sorted and if/when ES backs him in the transfer market. Then it`s time to see where Congerton comes in.

Then and only then will I form an opinion. Judging him now is too early I reckon.
