Hang on, not one of those signings are passed the prime age. So you're talking bollocks.

Keeping Gus is a must, will be interesting to see what he does against Everton. Obviously some questionable decisions made by him of late and I remember him saying a couple wks ago that he'll leave if the players give up well the squad couldn't give a rats arse ATM. Bring in some of the younger lads!

No wonder I stopped posting as often. There are some really stupid and incredibly thick sunderland fans (or maybe just lots of numb **** mags masquerading as ones with nobody here prepared to ban them) making this a pretty ****ty forum these days.

    What a ****ing idiotic thread!

Gus was given an impossible task and he has done well just to give us a fighting chance of survival, although it now looks nailed on we are going down. Gus took us to an FA Cup quarter final, League Cup final, derby double, win at Everton and beat Man City. Even though we are going down the positives for Gus far outweigh the negatives, IMO.

We cant keep chopping and changing managers, we need to give Gus time to build his own team, playing his style of football and then he can be judged. At the moment, I still say he's doing a decent job.

I am behind Gus and Short 100%

I only hope short stays. There is nobody else out there who would invest like he has.
As Bri said, the squad is not good enough. Gus can only do his best with what he's got.

I hate the negative threads like this one. This winging and scape goat searching does not help anyone.
    Its self distructive.

If we go down then we go down together!

Some people aren't happy until things start going wrong so they can have a moan. How on earth is sacking yet another manager going to work?! The definition of stupidity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

The manager is young and talented, perhaps he's made mistakes under hugely difficult circumstances but ****ing hell what do you expect?! If you think we can get a top experienced manager in who would work wonders with this shocking group of players you're dreaming of a Capello, hiddink, mourinho type. It isn't going to happen.

Gus has shown enough promise and history has shown many times you need stability to achieve success. He needs to be given a long contract.

People like you and Baz are the problem with this club. This screaming for the managers head in hard times just puts pressure on the owner and starts the cycle of failure all over again.

It's easy supporting when they're winning. It's easy to moan when they're not. The hard thing for a supporter is to back the club now. Do it or you're part of the reason for your club failing.

Our squad quality could be good enough.......its attitude isn't! The reverse can be said for Palace! Attitude is key! Palace players are working their bollocks off to make up for their limited talent! They want to stop in this league! Our players are not working their bollocks off! A general lack of effort, teamspirit, and hardwork has been missing from our players for 2-3 years now! An air of mediocrity has hung over our club! The inevitable has finally happened!

Big hard Baz, he's not been seen since we hit form.

Coward, his dad will be ashamed of him for running away.
