What can you do if even the Coach(!) publicly (!!) blamed Hummels after losing to Italy?

Badstuber had a stinker, Hummels is definitely Germany's best CB and I rate Howedes of Schalke higher than Badstuber.

    Back to the coach:
What was he thinking of bringing on Podolski when the score was at 4-3 instead of a defensive minded player?

I see Loew as the weakest link of the German team.

Yep, Loew was tactically raped by Prandelli in Euro 2012. Although he probably thought Pod would make the opposition defense wary, whilst being a good enough midfielder to have a defensive influence too.

This just reflects what we've seen from Koscielny over the past month though. He is in dreadful form, and seems to make a horrible mistake every single game.

Loew's teams are just extremely inconsistant. When they're good they tend to be VERY good.

But like Wenger he often refuses to change strategy regardless of what's happening in the game.

I can't understand why people think he did good against City. He showed weakness in the air against Lescott, and almost gifted them the game by scuffing his clearance straight to Aguero. I think 99% of the time Aguero would have scored that, and if he had, no-one would be saying he did well. Yet, there is this general opinion that he did well against City, I don't understand it.

Agreed, he was poor vs City.

The fact is our goals conceded ratio with him in the team is atrocious.

whoscored.com gave him MOTM based on match stats. He was the most successful tackler in the squad, won the ball as the last man twice, made more than double the effective clearances than the rest of the team combined and scored. They take errors into account, but to what extent I'm not sure.

So then let's assume he had not made any of those "lol" tackles, the team would have been screwed then.

Podolski didn't start for the Germans (against the Netherlands) today despite no striker being in the squad.
Goetze was played as centre forward. Poldi should come on as sub.

Mertesacker is having a decent game at the back, but the game itself is extremely boring.

Giroud and Koscielny have both started for France (against Italy), 1-1 at the moment.

Ibrahimovic just scored one of the best goals I've seen in a long, long time.
    What a finish, absolutely audacious.
