Thats this season. He agreed a new deal when he had done the sum total of nothing in football. Absolutely nothing. It was no different to paying an 18 year who had also done, nothing, 100k a week for his first contract. the attempts to have a dig based on Rooneys contract just dont work when you pay a player who has done nothing in the game £200K ( you also make significantly less than us, 200k is a lot more to you than 300k is to us, a lot more ). This season hes been great, hes wasnt before that. Showed glimpses and had a good few months.
