That is both upsetting and uplifting.

 

Spanish footy is a disgrace. So many racist bastards.

 

Fair play to Dani Alves, although like has been said earlier, it is still sad that abuse still continues to this day.

Problem with Spain is that there are very few, if any, black players who have played for the national team - the only player which springs to mind is Marcos Senna. Until they start seeing one or two regulars who are black, abuse like this will continue. Similar story in Italy too.

 

I remember when England played Spain (lost 1-0 I think) and all the black England players got monkey chants. Disgusting.

 

Off to work where I spend half the day slacking off but Not606 is blocked. I swear I'm being denied a fundamental human right.

Probably through being tanned as opposed to actually having black heritage. Outside of Marcos Senna, I think I read there are only two black players who have ever played for Spain.

There's not a lot on over the summer to talk about with Southampton, and a lot of people who will be interested in talking about cricket don't come in here, while a lot of the people already in here don't really care about cricket. Don't see any possible downfall to having a separate cricket thread.
