I remember doing my dissertation. **** it was hard. Worth it in the end though. Keep going GBS and Qwerty - the hard work will be worth it.

Remember doing mine...had to get it typed up by the college secretary (pre-PC days) and run up the steps to hand it in before the deadline. (10 mins to spare). Great feeling afterwards, though!

I shudder at the thought of doing uni work without the internet. Online legal databases where you can search for keywords then ctrl+f for relevant quotes is most of what my degree is. Not to mention the amount of editing and restructuring necessary, **** doing that by hand and without copy/paste.

Yeah, Jstor and its ilk were pretty much the greatest thing to ever happen in terms of writing papers. First year I tried to use the physical library quite a bit (was living at home for it, and connecting through a VPN on dial-up was not pleasant), but even with my uni having a pretty extensive collection, you might find four or five books on whatever arcane subject I was writing about, and beyond that you'd likely have to search other university collections and hope that you could get a loan in on time. Writing pantsless in the comfort of my apartment using journals for source material was so much better than running aimlessly around the library looking for the one book I needed...also pantsless, which some found off-putting.

Crap free-kick from Messi, and Villareal go up the other end and score a very good goal.

Messi looks mentally tired. Barca need to rebuild badly.

I think the pressure of having to be brilliant all the time is actually getting to him.

    2-1 by the way.

Yeah shame. No doubt Messi will grab all the headlines with a free-kick or something, when the truth is that Barcelona are having a real scare.

He was taking a corner when some twat threw a banana at him. He picked it up peeled it and took a bite then carried on taking the corner. <laugh>

Yep Barca have to realy on Messi far too much. Madrid etc have more players that can turn a game.
