    The terminology isn't important. I heard the very top pro gamers earn about 18k a year. Pretty amazing to earn that much from just playing a game BUT it's not that fantastic in the greater scheme of things and theoretically if that's what the top 20 or so players earn, then players outside of that category no doubt earn much less. Compare it to football where you can be in the top 500 footballers and still earn a lot of money (say, a couple of thousand a week). That's my point.

    Back in 1990, when I moved to NZ, I was in the country for about 6 hours before I experienced a tremor stronger than that one. I believe it was around 4.5 or slightly more. When I pointed out that my bed was moving around during the night [no, not due to that], friends went... pah, it happens all the time. They were not wrong. I think I experienced about a dozen or more tremors, but not one sizeable earthquake, while I lived in NZ.

    Well I don't know where you heard that but I can tell you that's categorically untrue.

    Also the top five hundred footballers earn a minimum of about 100 grand a week.

    It kinda does. What I'm saying is to get a good income as a pro gamer, you have to be in the top 20 or whatever, while to get a good income as a pro footballer, you only need to be in the top 500/1000 whatever.

    I never claimed to know everything there is to know about e-sport. I admitted earlier that my view is based on my own impressions based on what I've read, but who knows, what I read could be inaccurate. I don't know. I kinda figured the Guinness Book of World Records Gaming Edition would be fairly accurate. According to you it's not, so I'll have to take your word for that as it's not something I've ever taken the time to properly research.

    Either way, career advice is that if you're good at video games (or an annoying loudmouthed late teen) then just start uploading **** to Youtube and make a mint. Isn't that right LTL?

    I upload panoramic videos of football stadia I visit. Unfortunately it appears that there doesn't seem to be a great demand for this.
