Watched the Arsenal MOTD hioghlights again yesterday. Guly was involved in everything good that we did.
Maybe Guly should have done better wtih his effort against Stoke but it came back to him quickly. He seems to have been made the scapegoat for us not getting the three points. What about J Rodriguez? He missed the one on one that led to Guly's chance. As a 7 million pound striker he should really be doing better, didn't he also miss one against Everton which would have put us 2-0 up?
As Nigel always quotes its a team game. You could point at individual errors from most players during a match. All strikers will miss chances.
Guly looked gutted when he went to sit down after being subbed. He must think why me (a la Balotelli). Lallana could give away an own goal without anyone questioning his ability. Tbf...don't think many are anti-Guly...sadly for him those that are are noisy. Adkins is a fan and that's the main thing.
Am I the only one who thinks that Guly is really coming into his own in the Premiership? People keep banging on about the Stoke miss but remember it was him who set up Lambert from nowhere for the first goal. In my opinion he's answering his critics and seems to be closing in on his first Premiership goal. I've never slagged him off here or anywhere else, I never said he should have been loaned out out instead of Sharp. He always had a touch of class I thought and he's being able to express it better in the Premiership. He's been busting his gut getting back to make challenges and he is great at defending corners. Not to mention his versatility. Glad we have him.
Without doubt. Guly's corners are whipped in better than any other present first teamers can manage regularly.
