Hugely underestimated guitarist but a true master nonetheless. In a world of hair metal and bombastic power chords Marr jingle jangled his way through the dross with his deft picking along with imaginative and melodic phrasing. Also made full use of effects pedals and recording techniques to add to his signature sound.

Debatable.

Mozza's Vauxhall and I album is just as good, if not better, than anything by the Smiths. Speedway, for example, is stupendously sublime.

I adore the Smiths, and Marr is a legend, but Mozza has consistently produced the goods since the partnership ended.

I feel duty bound to give a nod to the wonderful Poison Ivy from The Cramps. Perhaps not the most well know or technically proficient guitarist but she had attitude and style. RIP Lux Interior by the way, one of the greatest front men of all time.
