Well I disagree with them too!
What did they say?

Ah sorry Beddy that's what I meant, that new members couldn't sign up in usual way and without help of mods.
Is that still the case then?
On a more serious note, isn't the site ****ed, and unable to take new signups?
So even if they wanted to they couldn't.
I don't like guests. They see your best malt whisky and when you offer them a drink that is what they ask for. Then when they leave you discover half the bottle has gone. When the hospitality is returned the only thing on their drinks tray is a bottle of ASDA's cheapest bloody sherry.

Guests are ****s and should **** off.
You might know this already ... The single malt stocked by Aldi called Glen Marnoch limited release is a single malt of some distinction at approximately £18 a bottle, very good value. It is a Isle of Islay malt distilled for Aldi. I can recommend it..I don't like guests. They see your best malt whisky and when you offer them a drink that is what they ask for. Maybe they are people that support other teams or former posters & feel unwelcome.

Godders, this is the very reason I have a nice crystal decanter at the front of the cabinet that has something like Bells in it. This is usually what people reach for and certainly what I reach for when a heathen says something like, "Oh yes please, whisky and coke for me."
The good stuff is elsewhere![]()
I'm much more devious. I picked up a bottle in a scottish pub when someone had the last measure. It was a 25 year old single malt bottle (I forget the name). Filled it with Tesco value whisky and served it for years. Everyone (without exception) told me how amazingly smooth it was.

1. Remind me not to drink whisky when I'm next at your place
And
2. What a brilliant idea - going to keep the next single malt bottle I finish and do the same ....
Best thing is not to offer guests drinks...they'll only want to stay.
Saw a doormat once...wish I'd bought it. It said, 'How long are you stopping.'![]()
