Ah!, so you're still alive, Adam! Hope all is well with you & yours. ..... and get yersel' posting on here again!
I am mate, just about I pop on every now and then but felt like posting today Any particular post I should be visiting? or not? How are you doing?
All well & good here. Pretty quiet on here these days. Seems we don't have much to moan about when we're winning. If it wasn't for Wakey ....
Romero wants to leave Man Utd because he doesn't get to play. Hardly someone who'll be happy to sit on the bench for us. Seriously, there's not many decent 'keepers who'll be happy to sign as a No2. Your No2 'keeper should be an up-and-coming prospect - and actually Meslier fits the bill quite well. I always liked Butland and thinks he's better than warming the bench for Palace Agree with you on Viduka and Yeboah as best Prem strikers. IMO best of all time would be Yeboah and Charles.
Interestingly, under the new post-Brexit employment guidelines, neither Bielsa or Solskjaer who get a work permit now.
Should go back and recheck mate because Bielsa walks in as being an International manager and an olympic champion, who also has coaching schools in various countries
Its now much more straightforward bringing overseas players in too and easier in most cases as I explained in a post a f ew weeks ago in one of the Weekend threads
Meslier stays as No'1 for me. If you relegate him back to No'2 now he'd be quite within his rights to think fook you when it comes to renewing his contract. This lad is the real deal and should be our keeper for the next decade. However, we definitely need better back up in case of injury or suspension.
Agree. We've got a gem here, so let's keep him. If we can't get rid of Kiko, then we should keep him. He'll do for the League Cup, cover etc.
It's always tricky with back up keepers. They're never going to play, so how much does a club invest in the wage thief sitting on the bench week after week. Kiko could probably handle the odd game but if Meslier picked up a serious injury then we'd be in the doo-doo.
Well if you want to buy players who haven't won the league or haven't won a cup or got very high in the league or progressed in the cup. Haven't played in a European type competition, Haven't played for their country. Then the players are shyte and dont deserve a work permit, end of. Otherwise its easier and the points allocated are easier to get.
"Under post-Brexit immigration guidelines adopted by the FA and Home Office last month, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Marcelo Bielsa would have been denied permission to work in this country at the time they were appointed by Manchester United and Leeds respectively..." https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...es-threaten-change-face-English-football.html Article re-printed word for word here: https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/foo...s-under-fa-s-new-rules/ar-BB1dA9Vu?li=BBoPWjP And here: https://www.chronicle.co.zw/brexit-...eaten-to-change-the-face-of-english-football/
Is he really so much better than Meslier ? I don't think so, now signing Henderson off them is a different matter - but he's on too much money to be worth it.
