Fear not. I am still me. It was a simple case of mirrored avatars. ESSGEE clearly has good taste! As you can see, this situation has now been resolved. And you can call me anything you like as long as it it's not offensive or fish related...
Just seen Mark Hughes holding up a red and white striped shirt. Not a Hughes hater, but just confirmed that I don't want to look like Stoke or Sunderland.
Well, this is true. However, there's a clear difference between a dolphin and a skate. One is a beautiful and majestic creature and the other is ugly and flat and spends most of it's time in the lowest regions of ocean life.
i havent bought a saints strip for a long time as outside of a stadium they all look pretty bad to be totally honest! But, im much more hopeful this time. i love the adidas brand so i might be tempted, if anyone can get red and white stripes to look cool they can. I'd be interested to see what other bits and bobs adidas put together too in the saintsshop. i like the idea of a the classsic adidas black long sleeved training top with the adidas stripes on the shoulders (maybe in red & white) and "southampton football club" in white font written on the back with a little saints badge on the front. bit like the training top charlie from its always sunny in philidelphia wears to watch the eagles play!
Notice that the Adidas cricket kit for England has stripes down the arms on the long-sleeved shirts, but only has stripes on the shoulders for short-sleeved shirt. Definitely looks better with just the shoulder stripes.
I'm a big fan of the new England ODI shirt, although our shirt will be nothing like it. please log in to view this image
Boro showing the standard adidas template but just with a broader white chest part. Away strip in red & white? or same as Stoke's last season? please log in to view this image
Don't like any of them much. When I saw Stoke's kit the other day, with those flapping short sleeves I took an instant dislike to them, and I had no idea we may end up in something similar, back then. The prospect of seeing Saints perform in the same template of kit doesn't invoke joy, to say the least.
There's some really nice mock ups on the saintsweb forums. I have no doubt our kit won't look as good as any of them though. This is my favourite one I pilfered from saintsweb, looks like the kind of shirt you would find in Brazil please log in to view this image
Yeah I like that a lot. Shame it won't be the kit. It's unlikely that we'll see the sash again for a long time.
