Harefield had been made champions the previous week and it was a nice touch for Ampthill to give them a Guard of Honour before the game.

Harefield advertise online only with programmes, but when striking up a conversation with the guy at the turnstile he gave me a proper paper programme, I was so pleased! Apparantly the club produce about 10 programmes for the away officials.

Harefield currently play in division 1 of the Spartan South Midlands League. Next season they will be in the Premier Division, their ground meets all the requirements.

Harefield won 3-1 playing some decent football, but Ampthill can count themselves unlucky as two goals in the last 5 minutes, one due to a bad error by the keeper to see them go 2-1 behind.

Knaphill winning 2-1 sent Walton and Hersham to Division 1 of the Combined Counties League.

A very leafy Knaphill is a suburb of Woking, the ground was in keeping with the area. A very well run club and a cracking little ground for this level.

A shame there was not a programme issued!
