Looking at the match stats it seems we played better today. Just how many times are we going to concede goals after the 90 minute mark?.........Is it lack of concentration or just naivety. A point or more was there for us today and we walk away with nothing and continue downwards, suckered out of the game at the death....very frustrating and demoralising. Suggestions on a postcard............
More goals are scored in the last 5 mins than in any period of the game for all teams. Unfortunately for a young team they are always going to concede rather than score partly through inexperience but mainly because they are more stressed through fatigue. It is a fact of football. The radio commentary today was highly complimentary about the quality of Gill's performance. The real disappointment is the ending of more than two months since an away defeat. The challenge now is the fixture list which becomes particularly favourable over the next two months. Whether or not you think the management change is sensible or stupid, it is vital to get a new boss in place quickly to exploit the best run of games this season. If the opportunity is missed, relegation beckons.
