Hey China India and Africa can you stop building infrastructure roads factories and go back to poverty please ?

We already have too many cars washing machines and modern convenience items in the West .

That's a no is it ?

Ok we'll just blame America and recycle our old bean tins and tax **** out of people for driving to work .

Pissing in the wind

I agree with that, it's hypocrisy on a grand scale telling developing nations that they can't have the same conveniences as the west.

I also agree that just recycling tins and taxing motorists is pissing in the wind.

I’m not so sure.

China are the world’s biggest polluters and also the world’s second largest economy. I hardly think asking them to cut back on their pollution output is gonna plunge them back into abject poverty.

I didn't mean it like that. I meant it's hypocrisy that the West still uses the same polluting technology whilst telling the developing world not to use it.

We need to stop using it.

The US won’t do anything so long as that prick is in the White House, unfortunately. Hopefully, once they’re rid of him they can take the lead, but China needs to follow. They are the worst polluters by some way.
