My point is that if you want go around shrieking at people like a ****ing banshee, then you have to be squeaky clean yourself. Good cause though tbf.

And my point is that you can't go from a carbon heavy world to a carbon free world overnight. It's a process.

Since 1850 Florida has experienced over 100 hurricanes... but the last one was due to climate change.

I've got a vegetable patch. I buy most of my food locally. ebay is my friend for 2nd hand clothes and shoes. I mainly eat fish that's been caught locally, vary rarely have meat tbh. I don't buy bottled water, I filter what comes out of the tap. I don't have central heating, I've got a burner that I use compressed sawdust blocks on.

I'm also involved in a few projects that promote and manage compostable packaging, tree planting and rewilding of low grade agriculture land.

Do I still have a carbon footprint ? Of course I do. I'm just trying to make some changes that I can.

Mate, breathing leaves a carbon footprint. You’re doing what most of us who give a **** are doing.

I recycle everything I can. They’re not as far up on it here yet, but they’re getting there.

Yep a process that most won't follow tbf. Admire your efforts mate but it won't happen imo.

It might not, not until the **** really hits the fan and then it might be too late anyway.

I'm just trying to do what I can as I think small changes, collectively will make a big difference. And even if they don't, at least I've tried.

The science is undeniable. And the rate of warming is rapidly gathering pace. If we don't stop burning fossil fuels and regenerate the world's natural carbon capturing systems (forests, peat bogs, coral reefs etc) then we are facing an existential crisis.

A lot of people dismiss it as being alarmist as I don't think they've really grasped the impact a 4 deg rise would have on the planet and the ecosystems we all rely on.

Who gives a **** :bandit:

Anyway, that David Attenborough video that Luv posted at the beginning of this thread is a good watch for anybody who's unsure about the issues.

She's 16. She could leave school if she wanted to in this country and get a job or join the army.
There are a lot more people of her age doing a lot dumber **** than digging out a few political leaders.
I think that they can take it, though I wonder why so many people are suddenly being very protective of them and their feelings.

What are you trying to say exactly?
