just watched him make a brilliant save from a penalty in the old firm game. His penalty saving is phenomenal. The only goalie I've watched who you are failed confident he'll save it. Almost see the body language of the penalty taker. Two minutes later, Rangers take the lead

Didn’t he never concede from a Premier League penalty? I know it was a stat at one point.

I don't think he was all that. Remember all the blunders? In particular that one against Wolves where he only had to catch the ball. Under no pressure from anyone he jumped, closed his eyes like Billy Whitehurst was baring down on him and completely missed the ball, the result was a tap in.

He did loads of crap like that. Jakupovic was miles better.

Agree, as long as you stipulate Jak mk2. His first stint ended very badly...

Great keeper. Not even close to Tony Norman though. Never saw McKechnie or Bly to compare, but people say they were excellent also.

Quite correct re Tony Norman. Thought Jeff Wealands was better than Greggsy as well. McKechnie was a great character, and a smashing bloke if you ever meet him off the pitch, but was somewhat error prone. Didn’t matter too much when we were scoring goals for fun though. Only saw Billy Bly play in a match as a guest in a Brid Town charity game but older City fans said he was the bravest keeper they had seen.

Yeah my Dad said that about Billy Bly, the trouble with that was he kept getting injured.
