Nope. Green wasn't caught out by a spinning, slow ball. He couldn't control the thing. He did exactly the same thing in the first half; let the ball cannon into his knees like a 3 year old trying to control a ball. Green wouldn't have been under pressure from that back pass if he had controlled the ball and cleared it. Hart would have controlled it, had a look around and tried to play it to a team mate. I have never said Green is useless. I have always said that he is a decent shot stopper and have often praised him as such. He doesn't move his feet well to get to shots from distance however and he is coco the bloody clown with his ball control and kicking.
I wonder if Smithies will be given the opportunity of another start at Hull, or will Green be back? I think a run of games (and a win) might boost his self confidence. By his actions Green threw away the Forest game, so I think Ramsey should stick with Smithies.
Well that's a fresh approach Swords - from the commentary, apart from somehow losing the ball out of his hands for their goal, Smithies did seem a bit shaky at times, especially on one occasion when I believe after a stoppage in play, a returned ball to him by a Blackburn player almost caught him out.
Kilburn I remember the day when QPR had good Goalkeepers one after another. Now every Keeper that plays for us couldn't catch a cold. Why are our GK's so bad?
Paddy Kenny is out there somewhere? Would be a cheap option for an ageing keeper? I guess he never made the squad - interestingly Port Vale have a keeper on their books named Boot - he could be a good kicking option for us? "In August 2015 he began training with Port Vale, managed by former teammate Rob Page; though nominally only at Vale Park to maintain his fitness he was also considered for a short-term contract as first choice goalkeeper Chris Neal was out injured.[46]" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paddy_Kenny
