Sorry mate. We're going to need every last penny we can get next season. So if they're willing, he wants to go (why on earth wouldn't he) it must make financial sense. The reason why Murphy wouldn't appeal to Chelsea is that he's never even looked like breaking into the first team here. That's not what a Champ League side are looking for. He has played well over the last twelve months and certainly a lot better than he did before Cesar's arrival but he can go with my blessing as far as I'm concerned.

No, we have more financial resources behind us than the Scum. But I agree with you about Murphy, he can go to them with my blessing too <laugh><laugh><laugh>

If Green seriously wants to stay in the England set-up he needs regular first team football, he won't get that at Chelsea. Any ambitious mid-table team would be ideal for him, he may not get the big money but he'll be in the spotlight. This move will tell you all you need to know about his ambition...

I don't think it's about the relative financial resources of ourselves and Chelsea, it's about Financial Fair Play. If we're in the Championship next season, we'll need to generate some cash and reduce the wage bill or we'll be in even bigger trouble with the authorities than is currently the case.

I don't think there's FFP in the Conference...

Green has been good this year but i think we need to start playing McCarthy next season.
If Green does go to scum it will make my day if he has his customary howler in an important game for them and seeing all the plastic sheep doing their usual fire drill with 10 minutes to go. So there maybe a silver lining.

why do people bother to post this rubbish.
the best team in the prem and you think they want green to call on in an emergency lol

also i read chelsea want ade from spurs lol
its just papers filling up spaces

Sorry to lose him. if we do, but If he goes, good luck to him (to him, not to the scum). Tjhere was a time I did not rate him very highly - think 2010 World Cup) and I was frankly appalled when he signed for us. But that was then and this is now - now I think he is great in spite of the occasonal howler.
