I was cheering on a no. Us Maltese taxpayers have suffered enough for your sins, Greece - now you can **** off and manage your own country. Up the ra.

The Greek government should have invested in American repossessed property, then they wouldn't be in this sorry mess. Daft ****s

Unless there's a fantastic u-turn by the EU we're going to have to send African style food aid to Greece soon. I'm not sure the people of other countries will want to follow them in if they see that.

Well that depends on your outlook.

If said situation did develop then I'd argue it would do nothing but galvanise anti-austerity movements even further. It's the age of the internet, Micko. Capitalism will die a slow but just death.

I'm actually a wee bit worried that Corbyn gets the labour leadership. He'll flop most likely but he might put off independence <wah>

I think queuing for bread in the streets will be quite a harsh form of austerity.

Yes but unlike you not everyone would be willing to accept an EU that effectively neuters Greece and leaves them poverty stricken with no form of help.

I'm sure ****s like you will say that they were offered help but I'd simply rebut that by saying go **** yourself.

I think the EU was pretty clear that a No vote was a vote to leave the EZ (as the EZ would stop sending money). Whether or not they follow through or not is another thing.

I fail to see how Greece are going to get a better deal just because they voted NO. The debt doesn't just go away and the "celebrations" in the main square could be the shortest party since the last not606 curry night

    Aye, exactly, a total embarrassment.

When democratic countries are scared of the popular vote there is something wrong. With that being said there's plenty of unelected eejits in the EU.

Following on from what Monica said earlier - my missus and I just had a vote, with a landside 100% on Yes we voted that the EU should give us a big **** off yacht. Democracy is fantastic.

    <rofl>

I know you say you're an atheist but I'm sure deep down you think that the market is some sort of omnipotent, unquestionable, super entity.

    Thou shall not regulate
    Thou shall not disobey
    Thou shall not steal*

*So long as thou isn't caught. T&C's applies

I'm sure that's high on the Tory priority list.
