Surely Lorimer would know though? There certainly aren't many candidates behind The Don and Wilko. And I can confirm "bairn" is definitely a Scottish word <ok>.

Lorimer's a legend but he'll say anything to portray the club in a good light, that's what he's paid to do these days. There's no way Grayson's a better manager than Wilkinson or O'Leary. I have no doubt that he has the potential to be, but as yet he's only made relatively minor achievements with us.

O'Leary's an odd one to call. He had the side playing free flowing football with a fear no one attitude and good team spirit. He seemed to lose the team when the big signings came in. He didn't seem to be able to man manage a large squad. The Woodgate and Bowyer incident was handled badly too.

He didn't do much at Villa either.

Given the choice of SG or DOL i'd stick with what we've got. Don't forget SG is only going into his second full season and hasn't done too bad.

I absolutely agree about having Grayson now rather than O'Leary and you're right, his man management was poor, not to mention some of the profligate signings he made (*cough* Seth Johnson *cough*).

However I'd say when you're assessing a manager overall, you have to ask yourself what they achieved and how important that is in the grand scheme of football. O'Leary took us to the Champions League semi-final and had us pushing for the title; Simon Grayson's done a great job getting us promoted from League One and surprising the Championship and a few Premiership teams along the way, but overall I'd say O'Leary achieved greater things with Leeds. Stick with Grayson and I genuinely hope we can be back up there again in a few years, but he's got a lot to prove yet before he's compared with the managers who've scored top-flight success with us.

Radebe without a doubt!! His positional play was exceptional, and his ability to lead the youngsters was vital.
