You never answered. Are you actually suggesting that fans safety is not important as long as it looks good from a distance?

    No I didn't attend.

Then your opinion is pointless but anyway ...... in an aspect yes but obviously there is a limit to how far you can go

If people are going to let off flares then there needs to be more than one. Today's looked like some kind of a mistake. Also the smell was terrible - by the time it wafted to the W section on the other side of the stand it smelt like diced knickers.

As an alternative to flares perhaps the supporters in the west stand on Tuesday could set fire to their knee blankets.

I was at the right side and we tried to get the song going but the left side didn't bother, I think that shows how the singing was displaced across the stand, there was only a couple of songs that everyone sang at the same time.

I thought Evans must have been close to MOM yesterday, he was cutting everything out, making their players look like mugs and made same good direct runs then layed a pass off

I used to play centre half and always look at the defence first and Gerrard could be a star (if he was to sign) but I'm really impressed with Chester, Hobbs also looks like he has a lot to offer. If we didn't get Gerrard then we deffo need to get Hobbs.

I don't understand McClean at all, I've not seen anything (other than workrate), he has trouble running with the ball, controlling the ball and passing the ball, he can jump for a small lad but doesn't win that much. Simpson is by far the better option, he can do all of the above (except the jumping and heading), someone earlier mentioned that he does the same thing and is easy to read, the same could be said about Stewart he runs at a defender, step over and drags the ball to the right with the outside of his right boot - but you wouldn't leave him out of the team.

Barmby: 8 - Did what Barmby does, we look a different team every time he comes on
    ................................................................................
its just basically intellgence imo..he runs into the danger areas, simple as that..
amoo, mclean, and even simpson all seem to need to be told where and when to run, and move into crowds..
barmby just moves into space and gives people like koren options to aim for..

I was in the Brian Clough stand and both myself and the forest fans around me thought the City support was brilliant

I thought the atmosphere was excellent, I was stood down the front, to the left of the goal, the singing was a little dis-jointed and 'We're the left/right side...' never really took off, unlike at Ipswich. Nevertheless, I thought it was a good effort and everyone stood. Maybe if more people did this at the KC, the atmosphere would pick up there?

The Amooooooooo chants made me smile.

A great day out and result, to beat Forest away, is a job well done, we just need to create a bit more. Hopefully Amoo will get better, though it is a real shame re Stewart, I hope he comes back quickly as he has shown such promise. If only Bullard's face fitted (and attitude was different) ...

Gerrard and Chester were good and Barmby always shows effort and attitude to cause our oppenents problems. Great to have a proven striker leading the line, Fryatt is the man, shame re the yellow boots, bring back Puma Kings!

    UTT !

You can tell Barmby and Fryatt are a class above for me they have the knowledge to make the right runs, Simpson and Mclean don't really show them runs much or make them but they ain't up top as much as Fryatt.

I love how us on the left thought we where the only ones singing, yet the right think they where. I suppose that is the down side to everyone being spread out over such a wide space. Hopefully we can have another good day at Coventry!

"........If only Bullard's face fitted (and attitude was different) ......." and he was earning his worth, i.e. about £25k per week less than he is!

    TWF,

I'll say this nicely... I'm a decent, mellow sort but could u please stop ruining every single debate with your inane crap?

It's pissing me and other real supporters off big time..

Granted (do u get a student grant?) you do manage the odd half-intellegent comment but most of it just irritates the hell out of us..

I think I speak for the majority..

so OLM..as the mod... if he doesn't wise up, can we boot him off?

As it stands, only Mick can ban a poster. Despite me feeling that TWF is here just as a WUM, I doubt a case could be put to Mick at the moment to ban him. The best thing is to ignore posts from people you think are just attention seeking, but I appreciate that's not always that easy.

I did notice OLM saying he would remove any posts he thought were just there as a wind up, and I'' do the same. The problem is it can lead to alsorts of discussion on what should and shouldn't stay and I think most people would prefer a minimum of interferance from mods.

I accept you could get wound up by my some of my other views (even though it's not my intention), but I'm getting stick for criticising someone using a flare? ****ing hell. It's almost as if you're just going to criticise any post I make.

It's now come out in another thread that it was a smoke bomb, not a flare, but I still don't agree with it. Seriously, I don't see the issue with my posts in this thread.

EDIT: Also, no I don't get a student grant. Just a loan.

Ok I'll give TWF the benefit of the doubt.. some questions for him..

    1) How long have you been supporting City?
    2) Which was your first City game you attended?
    3) Where were you born?
    4) How did you become a City fan?
    5) Who is/was you favourite ever City player?

    About 10 years regularly attending.
It was against Torquay at Boothferry Park, I remember very little as I was about 7, got corportate tickets somehow so I was sat in the best stand, I remember the game being a draw but can't remember the score exactly. 1-1 I think.
    Hull.
Had a mate who was a big fan at school, talked about them so much I eventually convinced my Dad (who's a big rugby league fan) to take me there instead of Rovers.
Stuart Green, weird one I know.
