Fair enough RAW, can totally appreciate that, I guess it was poor timing. It just gets to me that we are capable of that, yet see it too infrequently. I want to hold the players to these performances and use this as a yardstick for the rest of the season and beyond, not to revert to the dross we have been served up and forgive it because of this one result. We need to expect more of our club.

To clarify.... Lets not wait another thirteen years, lets see a derby day attitude every game, yes we'll not string victories like this together as often as we want and individuals will have an odd off day but lets at least expect some passion!

Too right mate...We have had so many false dawns, so it is surely now our time to shine...

So between Blackburn at the end of 2011 and Everton QF FA Cup 2012 replay we were ****e? give your head a shake, folk on here were willing to have MON over to shag their women, which reminds me of the PDC reaction now. It seems to me the players are choosing when they can be arsed to play, rather than any magic from management. Time will tell if PDC can maintain the players current desire, but don't rewrite history of the same impact MON had.

I didn't mention last season. I'm referring to this season. Your original post referred to you watching us this season so I carried on with that. I maintain we were ****e under O'Neill all of this season.

Last season might as well be ancient history. However, yeah when a manager comes in and saves us from relegation people are going to get excited. Shocker that.

Give your head a shake. If you're going to nit pick like a clever dick make sure you're clever about it.

I suggest you re-read my OP fella, I discuss the period between Blackburn and Everton and the dross we've been delievered since, in my opinion due to the players choosing to relax and play to a different standard. My comparison stands that the immediate reaction the players have had to PDC was the same as we had under MON, and while of course this isn't a surprise or only found at our club, it certainly shouldn't be accepted or tolerated IMO! Once again a change of manager and everythings okay until the players can't be arsed again and the manager will take the blame, at what point does the players take some responsibility?

As for nit picking, or being a clever dick, I accept neither charge.

Hahaha fair play chief.

But surely that is what the manager is there for to kick them up the arse and get them motivated and playing as a team.

remember it is a team game if 1 or 2 are off form the rest can carry them to an extent but if 6-7 are off form then the team in its entirety is pretty much ****ed but that is where the manager and his staff comes into play, to either change things around, or give them a kick up the arse and get them on form if they cant get on form then change the team so they do.

time will tell with PDC he may be a success or a failure but if the team stops playing then its all down to him just like it was with Keane, Bruce, MON and 95% of other managers that has ever been sacked (from every club) due to poor results and performances, it is what they are paid for after all. (some managers get sacked after winning the CL, that is Crazy)

Can't argue with that at all blackcat, I stated that I thought it was correct for Bruce and MON to go when they did, but I think it's a disgrace that the quality of players we have can allow themselves to let their own standards to drop so far in games like Norwich and QPR allowing our season to become a relegation battle.

I just hope the fans can somehow also let it be known that we demand that kind of performance and attitude in games other than derbies and against the elite in our league.

What I'm trying to say in too many words is, when will our players realise that these performances every once in a while is not good enough and that a change in manager shouldn't be required to bring out their true potential

But it's an average squad at least, who have just pulled of a remarkable victory at the horsedome...****ing enjoy and revel in it...

It's even better than that 3-0 away at Chelski,

Come on..

Every pundit and fan out there expects us to stop up now! However being the pessimistic git that i am, i wont 100% celebrate this result until we are mathematically safe! I think we will stop up, then again i thought that o neil was the bees knees!!!!

Nordic, do you have a point?

Not really, I was somewhat pissed. You simply came across as a dour ****er on our big party night - a night I've waited a long time for. I don't think any of us are crazy enough to get carried away by the result, and what we still have to do, but try and enjoy yourself for once, eh.

Do you think Man Utd would be as successful without their manager, really - do you? All teams need managing and coaching, and if you don't do that constantly, performances wane - always have done. Despite his great start, we had been ****E FOR A YEAR under MON, and I continued to back him. but the lack of passion, drive, tactics and zero coaching was clearly killing us. He was not the same man without JR, and that showed through after the buzz we got from the start of his tenure. Sad but true.

I don't know if PDC can keep this going, but I think he can. He really looks like he wants it, but we still need better players. Excuse me for enjoying myself, but Sunday was like not being able to have sex for a year, then three absolute hotties turn up at once to drain you dry.
