Anyone else doing it on Sunday?

Just read that Eddie Howe will be at the start!!! Him, the stupid DJ (alan Robson) and Brendon Foster!!, the last 2 I’d have to think significantly if I was going to apply the brakes if they crossed in front of me!!!

Just read that Eddie Howe will be at the start!!! Him, the stupid DJ (alan Robson) and Brendon Foster!!, the last 2 I’d have to think significantly if I was going to apply the brakes if they crossed in front of me!!!

I'm not doing it (no where near fit enough!), but if I was I'd be disappointed by that. I don't mind Brendan Foster that much, though he comes across as a bore and a bit of an embarrassing drunken uncle at times. But the other two? Christ on a bike, have they not realised it's the Great North Run, not the great toon run? Pandering to Newcastle/Geordies/mags is only going to alienate people in the north east who don't identify as any of those.

Trying to beat my record of 1hr 35 this year.

Once the elite runners start crossing the line I normally turn it off, but I'm gonna give it a real go this year.
I think it will be tough with the current weather, so might need to put the fan on.

Its why it doesnt finish in Sunderland, its a geordie ****fest
