One of the Chelsea coaches said that Torres is missing Gerrard more than he thinks, maybe Chelsea need a Gerrard type to get the best out of him,not that they are easy to get.

    Erik Meijer aka Mad Erik.
Now thats a blast from the past.
He enjoyed cult hero status that Vladimir Smicer,Paddy Berger and Karl Heize Reidle and Igor enjoy.

for all of the bad press that Igor got, most of it deserved, he played his heart out when in the team, he never gave up and he did play an important role in the champions league in 2005. Correct if wrong, but he played in a few and score in at least one of the earlier away games (maybe SG was injured)...

molby won us the double in 86....

    simple answer there.

step forward to the 90s and you struggle to find someone who's really impacted hugely we signed a lot fo dross... berger was quite good in patches

in the naughties its clear hyppia was the longest serving and one of the best signings ever. alonso, torres, kuyt and hamann are all fine shouts as well.

2010 to present kuyt is the only guy so far to have a consistent impact.
