oh dear, so sick of pompey wums on 606, now i find minging on this site, will have to strongly consider moving to another site, i thought this would be better but really no different, shame.

cf, looks the same, some pompey fan starting an inane time wasting thread, dont see much difference. maybe im being over sensitive but bored with wading through rubbish to find a gem, doesnt happen often enough.

Following impressive away performances by both Peterborough United and Huddersfield do any Saints fans feel that the automatic promotion places are not now a given right for Saints and that it will now need to be won as other teams form improves in tandem with Saints current good form?

There is no doubt that Saints will almost certainly be in the play offs to try to achieve Championship club status next season, but could the automatic promotion place behind probably Brighton be slipping away?

Is it a case of great expectation, but perhaps a bridge too far, as Peterborough in particular are scoring goals for fun at the moment?

Why do you care?

Just seen this on the beeb site - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/p/peterborough_united/9426418.stm

With Posh on fire at the moment (as sb3 has soo gratefully reminded us), I certainly wouldn't mind him leaving! I'll drive him there myself <laugh>

I know automatic promotion is in our own hands and this is probably not going to amount to anything until the summer, but tbh honest I'll take anything to boost our push for second!

Oh you mean positive thinking, oh why didn't you say...........You have to admit though your manager has got you punching way above your weight and good luck to you. We did it in a higher league for 27 years of course, so know something of what it's like to have to punch above your weight continually. It will beat you in the End as it did us especially if you do not invest.
This sums it up really!!

I did think carefully before posting this thread and it was intended as a topic for general discussion, given the recent form of both Peterborough who are actually reeling in Saints impressive goal difference at the moment and Huddersfield. Huddersfield are finding form and with a very last minute win on Tuesday evening are also showing signs of automatic promotion form. Winning ugly at this stage of the season and gathering 3 points in each game is after all the primary objective.

St.Brendy I am a reformed character on this forum and agreed with CGO and Beddytare to remain so, with the occasional bit of banter of course!. I hope other Saints posters will verify this. <ok>.

As Pompey fans go, he is not too bad. Though I do not know how many tattoos of bells and sailors he has across his torso, scalp and backside...:emoticon-0172-mooni
