If we were relegation fodder at this stage of the season I'd be inclined to agree with u! However we are not and still sat in a playoff place ATM! Don't think that warrants calls for a new manager tbh! We and every other team in every other division will lose games throughout the season! It happens n it's what footballs about! Calling people that oppose your views brain dead is pretty uncalled for as well!!!
I couldn't help but notice that Barnsley's win on Saturday was in no small part down to their attitude. Read the interview with their manager before the game, showed us absolutely no respect whatsoever. That's how it should be. Why do we continue to show respect to these nothing sides?
No. Fortunately. The bloke is cutting his managerial teeth and is learning. He's doing ok. Some of the players need to kick themselves up the bum a bit too. It's all early still, really. It's stupid saying Grayson should be out. Look at the squad we have, many players are average at best and wouldn't get a look in if they played in many other championship sides. Last season most fans said they'd be happy with mid table. Then started complaining because we just missed out on playoffs? If we were to go up we'd only get beaten every week and come straight back down as Bates won't properly invest. Also, with Bates being so close fisted it's hardly like Grayson is going get sacked so he can pay him off. It's about results at the end of the day, 5th is a decent place to be in such a competitive league. If we were fighting relegation then start complaining but as it stands 5th place is a decent place to build from.
With all that spending your aim is to be above The Mighty Whites! Shouldn't you be looking a little higher?

Grayson has this season...he has next season too until at least Christmas...if we're not looking like promotion candidates by then, he has to go. That said, we do need to invest some cash. We need to spend on the academy - we need more youth players coming through. More and better youth coaches. Hell pay Ajax a few $$$million to let us send out kids to Amsterdam...or Barcelona. In the short term we need defensive midfielder of quality. Push Howson out wide, move Snodgrass to the LEFT and start with Nunez every game. Increase the skill level all round.

Tonights performance is proof of what I've said earlier in this thread, we've looked stale and inflexible for a few matches now. Tonight we mixed things up and it gave us a new lease of life, made the team more flexible and creative and it paid off. We cut through them like a hot knife through butter, like we did to so many teams so many times last season.
Yeah, but we're in exactly the same position as last year without(really) strengthening the squad unlike many other teams have.

Hopefully Danny Pugh can partner Clayton in central midfield if we can find a decent left winger in January. I get the feeling now that Emmanuel Mendy might have been worth a punt in the summer after all.
