In the one year of his contract he'd have stayed, and he'd no doubt have got worse judging by his season with us.

Regarding Dudek: A goalkeeper's thought processes don't simply disappear due to not playing one professional game a week; he trained every day with Real Madrid so he's no doubt still in very good shape. Like I've said, I'd rather have a younger keeper who we can hopefully keep long-term and in the Premiership, but Dudek for three years really isn't a bad option and certainly doesn't warrant the instant negativity everything LUFC seems to these days.

    Grayson never had the plot.

Dudek is exactly the same type of keeper as Schmeichel only he's on the way down and Schmeichel is on the way up.

I'm not going to run down Dudek but if he signs it proves it wasn't a footballing decision to let Schmeichel go.

He pulled off some fantastic saves but he also made some terrible mistakes that cost us games. He was also apparently an arrogant **** who lorded around in training like he was the best thing since his dad and blamed everyone else for every goal we conceded.

He was an amazing shot stopper. I keep having to reiterate this especially to you and have had to say this a few times to Clivetime before I decided he wasn't with the **** in my toilet. Great shot stopping alone does not a fantastic goalkeeper make. His spacial awareness, command of his area and distribution were all below average. He didn't appear to have any sort of chemistry with the defense at the worst of times and was at best just "getting along" with them.

For each of the crucial saves he made I'm sure he made an absolute howler. Like the goals against Millwall.

Lonergan wont be free. He has two years left on his PNE contract, but as a high earner they may well want to get shot of him especially as he was only on the bench for the latter part of the season after losing his place to Turner (Everton Loanee)

Ah sorry I missed that, for some reason I thought he was out of contract... In that case unless he goes for peanuts I would rather us take a chance on Dudek.
