    Yeah, I like the lad mate.

    I wouldn't say 'I hope it happens', but I can see how he would work for us.

    Judging by the papers, it's Everton, rather than us, that's after him anyway.

    Not sure him & Jelavic would compliment each other mind.

    Youcould give us Holt & £4million for Whickham, we'll throw in any one of McCartney or Elmohamedy <whistle>

    <laugh>

    I figured that...

    Joking aside, I think Whickham will come good, maybe not £8million good, but good enough.

    Holt has impressed me whenever I've watched him last season.

    Why amazed me was why he didn't get more starts.

    Us too.There were times when he seemed our only hope and he sat on the bench.There have been whispers that he and Lambert don't really like each other.You will have to keep him away from pie and chip shops though.He lost a bit towards the end of the season and looked sharper for it.In ten years time I reckon he will look like Neville Southall.

    I'd say that's a safe bet <ok>

    I read his nickname 'the horse' is due to his 'length in the shower'.

    That was from Lamberts mouth as well (the tale, not the length...).

    Personally wouldn't take him , one good season dosn't make a good signing. Wrong side of 30 and from what I have read it is all about the money.

    One good season in the Premier league yes but to be fair to the lad he's had 4 good goalscoring years running if you check his stats. He might be 30+ but players peak at different times

    Cant see that being the case Mush, if all the reports down here are to be believed.Its been in all the local press that Moysie's gonna have the mother of all financial struggles this close season. Infact the Liverpool Echo was only saying the other day that one of the 'big three' ( Baines, Rodwell Jagielka) definately has to be sold in the close season to balance the books. Everton really are in a financial mess. Pienaar who is on 70 grand a week was only able to come on loan from Spurs due to the fact Spurs paid 50% of his salary during the loan period. Not sure wether EFC could even afford to re sign him.
