I'm going on Tuesday and I won't be booing any of our player's, especially Holt. You have to remember what he and all of them have done for us. I don't believe in booing our own players. I am a supporter I go to spur on the team and get behind them not to get on their backs and make them feel ****. I hope it's all sorted out with Holt though I don't want him to leave as he is our captain and I have massive respect for him and where he has come from. I can relate to him as a working class bloke and he is a great role model for kids out there who have dreams of being a pro footballer some day that are from a modest background. I hope the board can sort it out with him one way or another as I would welcome his decision to stay and would forgive him as he has played a massive part in rescuing our club from oblivion. We all cock up in life and make wrong decisions in the heat of the moment, anyone who say's different is a liar and everyone deserves a second chance to make amends. For people out there who are thinking bad things about Grant, please take a moment to consider what he has done for NCFC and the sense of belief he has installed at our club over the last 3 years. He has his reasons and they will come out, but remember he is our player and he has given 1000% every time he has pulled on the yellow and green.
Please, feel free to pull Johnny's trousers down and suck him dry whilst you're at it as I'm sure he won't mind. Might as well finish the job off if you're going to start a little love-in together. Although personally I'd rather you did that sort of thing in its proper place on the Ipswich forum......
Top man! I don't want to hear of there being any booing, there is a bit of an attitude at Carrow Road sometimes regarding how we support the players and I know I've had my fallouts with people on here well on the old 606, especially regarding people giving the team support e.g. singing or cheering. Too much negativity at our club sometimes.
Stuff Grant Holt. Why would anybody want to go and create trouble and ruin Drury's testimonial. The guy has been with us 13 years. Whatever some people involved with the club now feel about Holt, and they are entitled to feel upset, if what they see as some form of betrayal, the can put that on Twatter or whatever its called. Its a friendly match at which Celtic have agreed to attend and there should be no animosity. Zero tolerance. If anyone boos, tell a steward, or failing that, threaten the bastards with physical violence. Well Done Adam Drury and I hope you all have a thoroughly entertaining night and I hope for once the trainer doesn't have to come on for him. Apart from his footballing ability, my enduring vision of Drury will be sat on his arse receiving treatment.
I think Holt should be ommitted from the squad as to not cause problems for the real reason we fans will be there on Tuesday, to show there appreciation for a true City legend and gent.
But then people focus on Drury and not Holt. People would inevitably boo Holt when his name was announced or whoever he touched the ball.
your being played for a pay rise, I thinks lads. He won't go. He is no spring chicken and is looking after his own interest. He will get a new deal and you will forgive him next season 'if' he bangs them in.
I agree because the focus should be on Drury a true legend and fantastic servant to the club. However if Holt were not to play the rumour mill would go into over drive and it may then all end up about Holt anyway. Hard balance to get.
He finally speaks... grant holt ‏@holty30 People can't comment on transfer request at this time. For all asking I will still be at @adamdrury78 testimonial on Tuesday #getitsoldout Expand Reply Retweet Favorite
