he has had offers from other Championship clubs, and has agreed to take an 80% pay cut to join us.. I have never been an advocate of resigning past players, but you can't fault his attitude and committment..

I dont want to keep sounding negative but he's meant to be getting a 1m payoff from Boro which is why i questioned whether or not he'd have still come if Boro were to let him come back to us with nothing? Who knows but it looks like this deal will be done sooner rather than later so ill try and get positive about it.

I think Grant never wanted to go and always wanted to come back.

I do get people saying we are well stocked, but the fight, the coverage of the pitch, and the shorting ability of Grant will be an asset. None of that more so than his passion for the club.

In the wake of the 2 reprobates at Guingamp and Maja, more people with love for club is never bad. Grant was only limited as we hit the PL, he will be a great help to the incredibly promising O’Nien, and others in that area.

For me, it’s a no brainer signing. He will never let us down.

Yeah McGeady does frustrate but could be our main goal outlet. He's a tough one

The argument made against McGeady, seems equally to apply to Maguire imo., both are doing OKish but only just, and both need to up their game. I have thought that McGuire could be used as a second striker when needed, as I am not sure just were he plays tbh, one things for certain is that we now require a new look up front, and over to you Jack Ross.

He's Red and White thru and thru mind, and his family, I'm sure his dads ashes were scattered at the SOL when he played for us.

They were which is why he left in the first place. He said he couldn't play on them.

Remember him scoring the pen against us for Boro last year? Then turning round and refusing to celebrate. His passion & commitment to the club are not in question.

I mentioned this guy at the start of the season. For whatever reason it has never worked out at Bolton, probably because that is a struggling club. He looked fantastic playing for Walsall, I'd be over the moon if we could land this lad.

His dads ashes were buried at the side of the pitch and when he scored against Arsenal, he immediately ran over and kissed the ground where they were

what about Craig gardner ? not one of you could argue about him he should never have left. Leadbitter takes a wage cut to play for us, that's dedication.

Phil Banks ‏ @pbanksjourno Jan 26 @OfficialBWFC have had two bids accepted in the region of £1 million for attacking midfielder Erhun Oztumer. @SunderlandAFC and @CAFCofficial. Decision is down to the player and will be done by the end of the window. #bolton
