Agree about Schwarz and I remember when we got Steve Bould from Arsenal and you could just see he was a cut above what we were used to. Xhaka has had the biggest impact as a player that I've ever seen in such a short space of time. Influence, leadership and he is a ****ing quality player to boot.

He's going to score a screamer at the SoL this season, and the roof will come off the place. Massive thanks to KLD. Ha'way the private jet.

I think of the Xhaka signing as a bit of a similar situation to that infamous clip from STID when the Chuckle Brothers were in charge... except that instead of saying "Why am I looking at Ibrahimovic at the bottom of this list?" KLD said "Xhaka? Might need to break out the jet for this one" <laugh>

Signing of the season, and that's a high bar. I've been lucky enough to work with a couple of people in my lifetime (nowt sport related) who inspired me to be better and gave me the confidence to do just that. I see that same quality in Xhaka.

At this point I'm convinced he is the best player to play for the club in my lifetime and is the biggest and best signing we've made in that time, eclipsing the likes of Kevin Phillips (Watford £300K), Stefan Schwarz (Valencia £3.5M) and Niall Quinn (Man City £1M) and this is with less than 20 games played.

I have no doubt that he will not only lead this young team to being reestablished as a fixture in the Premier League but he is very likely our next manager, whenever Reggie moves on, which is hopefully not for a good while yet.
