Yes, I agree. We should do this. From what I read about what we are lacking at the moment, someone with the ability to create chances in attacking midfield, Granero or Adel in form would be perfect. Just hope Kransjar can supply this.

For those who have an interest, maybe not you Col <sorry> in today's Marca there was an interview with Granero regarding his injury. I don't propose to go through the whole page but as Spandau Ballet said, Granero is very upbeat and positive despite the huge setback, he can walk but his knee is sore, he will have the operation on the 11th of October in the north of Spain and he hopes to be back playing in April (a tad optimistic IMO). No mention of QPR whatsoever during the whole interview and he even said that may remain at Sociedad for the 14/15 season?.
Looks like he's just as unhappy with us as we are/were with him?.

Yes. He's shown he cares not for this club despite being paid handsomely to represent it so **** him.

Do we really know the whole story WR? I was one of the first on here to ring his bell and was equally critical when he failed to perform but for me the issue may have been deeper and as a team we were not set up for his style and maybe neither was the premiership. I'll keep a look out for his book in 10 years time!

I appreciate where Wats is coming from but I would stop short on wishing a career ending injury on any player.

I think Wats is just angry at the fact that this guy was totally useless for us despite being paid huge sums of money every week and not forgetting the artificial, philosophical clap-trap he preached when he joined the Club. He lived up to none of it so I can see why Watford doesn't like him.

Regardless of whether he was suited to us or the division (good scouting Hughes), he didn't fancy it one bit and put zero effort in at all which is unforgivable. He wasn't the only one, but he was one of the worst offenders, hence my harsh stance- he couldn't give a toss about QPR so I don't give a toss about him and want what's best for the club- a juicy insurance payoff.

The only thing I can recall is when the players all wore Ray Jones on the back of their shirts for a game but had their own numbers. But obviously that is a totally different situation to Granero's injury.

So a person has a career-threatening injury (they never come back the same after a cruciate injury) and the best outcome for you and Watford is that he never plays again and QPR get an insurance payout. Let´s hope neither of you have career threatening injuries.

I'm totally with Madrid on this. I didn't like Graneros whole attitude , lack of interest and limited skills either, but never wish ill on someone like that. Karma, what goes around, comes around.
We have no idea what was going on behind the scenes with Hughes, and how much damage was done before Harry got here. A footballer egos and confidence is a brittle thing....He is a young player, I hope he comes back twice as fit, and plays like we all know he can for the RRRs in the premiership

    Hi folks,
This type of injury happens more so in rugby league and to be fair, it is a much more physical game but in saying that, having had several knee reconstructions myself, I think I'm at liberty to say that the only real reason a player might not come back the same is purely because of his mindset. Let's face it, some people can get over it, some not so ......... that's life.

Here in Oz, there are several high profile NRL players who have undergone numerous cruciate ligament rebuilds and they been just as good afterwards ................. as I've said, it has everything to do with the mind.

I thought Granero was good for us and the QPR fans were and still are the problem ... To say he put in zero effort is frankly idiotic to say the least

We know now that we had a brilliant set of players infact the best ever IMO but we had one of the worst QPR teams of all time

Granero is a brilliant footballer who was caught up in a shambles of a football club IMO he was not to blame and will come back stronger

The state of culture as a fan base for QPR is shocking but understandable given the list of great players we had in the last two years ... I hate it and it's only yesterday when I was watching the hoops in front of 5k and the ground was a pikey yard

Take stock I say and Granero is still QPR and I would welcome back this player to QPR ... as captain as he has qualities IMO
