No Malice I hope he does well and it doesn't cost us to much, but transfer goings on at QPR are still a shockingly dark and distastful affair.
Totally agree. At least we've got shot of some players that were crap last 2 seasons. Few more to go though
How is it that Spanish playets who go to other English clubs seem to do okay, eg. Swansea, Did we just have the bad luck to pick up a dud, that fit in well with all our other duds?
Or it's because they're only prepared to pay his current level of wages for one year. See our loan of Jack Hobbs to Forest for which we've received a fee. He's already signed a 2 year contract with them to start next summer. It means he still gets his PL wages (promotion clause), we still get the fee that we want, and Forest get their player for 3 years without committing to a 3 year contract on PL wages.
Agreed ...............More dollars now off the books = Great ! Hopefully, what 'QPRDrog' says ............... another on the way in?
I imagine you're right, Flyer, but I agree with Stan's comments about the player himself. I wish him well and am sad that he was never the star performer that we all had hopes for. One wonders whether perseverance and faith may have produced a better player this season. After all, there have been many examples of foreign players coming to England and having a difficult first season adjusting to the pace etc., but its done and we move on.
That's fair comment mate. As you know, I never rated him, but I agree he probably wasn't one of the "mercenaries".
Spot on Uber..I seem to remember a Christiano Ronaldo struggling during his first seasons too (no im not comparing them)! Also Drogba, Xavi, Fabergas, RVP, Van Nistleroy, Japp Stam, Anelka..all had bad starts. Maybe the Prem is tough tough for these foriegners eh?
Have already posted on this thread but after reading 'rangercol' comment and alike, felt the need to say as such and acknowledge 'sb_73' comments ......... Yes, Granero always came across a decent person, nothing outlandish, nothing ill towards the club. It was simply a case of trying to put a square peg into a round hole. Hope he comes back ( if it was to happen but doubt it ) a better player. Adios Amigos !
I dont think hes a mercenary type either, hes just too soft to play for us. He always wanted the ball and always tried hard but as someone else pointed out, the way he fell over for the hudderfield goal was terrible, he was more concerned with not getting a 2nd yellow than getting the ball.
what disappointment! Real Madrid⦠9million⦠there is a good player in there somewhere but Arry or Hughes couldnât find him
