Oh I know what he was doing, and frankly Perez was as much at fault as Yuki. I’m gutted for CLC, but pleased that Max is back in third.

Mercedes have definitely been the faster car since Silverstone, if you look at Perez vs the Mercedes actually shows max has overperfomed in most races, plus Mercedes have messed up some races.

There’s a major variable when you compare a Red Bull second driver to Mercedes, in that none of them since Danny Ricc have really been up to the job- they all struggle with Max no.1

if you’d compare Bottas to Max you’d be calling the Red Bull dominant when Bottas has his AWOL weekends lol.

9 Verstappen poles to a combined 6 for Mercedes. If this Merc was ahead like it was in previous years, we know sure as **** that Lewis would have been on pole a lot more.

Too many people when Max doesn’t nail it all of a sudden turn the “oh the Merc car is a beast” tears because everyone who is sick of Hamilton wants to be able to say he’s only ever won because of the car.

The reality is the cars are very differently designed, yet are very close in performance, which swings from track layout to track layout.

Seems to me that Merc, McLaren, Ferrari all had a fair bit of performance up their sleeve and ran incredibly conservatively on Friday when the track was a dust bowl, and then turned the wick up on Saturday where the usual battles resumed.

On pure pace Verstappen is quicker then Hamilton now, he just gets angry to easy which is he's main weakness, definitely has a bit of Senna in him.

I think the key will be if Verstappen can split the Mercs quickly. You'd think if Mercedes can have a 1-2 going into the first pitstop window, they'll be able to manage it.

Sounds like red bull are short of rear wings especially after Perez took one out. He said he had to use the patched up wing max used in fp3 for quali and it didn't feel as good!
We have a tripple header and the budget cap plus this is the big wing which I think they might want to use in Brazil?
Could make things a bit tricky?
Anyone know when fia finalise seasons accounts? Could a team/driver be given championship then due to exceeding budget cap it be stripped?

Alonso almost hit Bottas. His reactions were very quick.

There’s a suggestion he might have been trying to let Lewis through. Went wrong anyway.

Poor teamwork from the Mercs. They could have easily boxed Max out, but instead gave him the best line.

Don't think he was, otherwise he'd have been left and giving space before Max came in to occupy it surely.

Could be an utter walk in the park for Max here.

At least the speed Max has is convincing me that this race wouldn't have been a contest even if T1 wasn't so rubbish.

You have thought they'd leave Gasly out on track to hold up Hamilton. Missed a bit of a trick there.
