Come on Fernando, if you were going out anyway you could have stuck it in the wall and given us a safety car.

Why do they need a virtual safety car for where Alonso is parked up. Ridiculous decision

Alonso knew that was going to happen, he alluded to it over radio a couple of laps ago!

OK stewards took what....30s to get car out of there?

Maybe they should be marking places to roll car into more clearly and penalising drivers who ignore them

Regardless of who is leading , a medium tyre should not last almost fifty laps in any race .

It looked quite positive until they put those hard tyres on.

It doesn't matter what strat Merc used today, they were never catching Max.

Disagree, if they had gone same strat as red bull I feel the Merc would have had a better chance on the mediums and a better chance of winning

Merc threw it away with tyres

Everyone knew softs were lasting really long here yesterday as sky even mentioned it in quali.

The mediums at start locked in either a really long first stint or these hards or a two stop

Crying shame cos verstappen couldn't get away on the softs

Better chance maybe.. but they wouldn't have beat him. He's had this totally under control.

Honestly.. Max had that well and truly under control. Even with a better strat from Merc, I feel Max had a ton in reserve.

Because the track has what appears to be very little tyre deg, Lewis was easily able to keep up on his Mediums to Max on his Softs I feel Mercs best chance was to keep going to lap 50 and then go to softs or should go on the same strat as Red bull
