if there is no money for players, it has to be trewin or jackson. unless someone can come in on the cheap. paul ince sacked by blackpool i have discounted him and adie boothroyd. i would not say no to paul simpson again. whoever is chosen i fear it it is too late to keep us up, UNLESS we can loan some experienced players near to retirement who can keep us up. a player manager might be useful.

Has GT left the club or just stepped down as manager? Bit of a nightmare as we have nine odd days to build up the squad and unles we are signing a manager tomorrow then it'll be a caretaker who'll be doing that job. Weale has already had a rumoured bid...
"I've got to be honest, you sit and contemplate the future, and I would think it would be fair to say that my managerial days are over," he said....no that happend 15 Months ago ..and i have a very close friend i work with at Airbus who's apart of Chester FC board, and he has just had a phone call that Steve Burr their new boss as been asked to apply for the position by RW ...how that for inside information 
Also heard murmurs about Burr. May not want to leave having just joined Chester but we are a significant step up for him. They'd also be reluctant to let him leave I suspect, so we shall have to wait and see.
The writing has been on the wall for several weeks but I suspect many (like me) who called for him to go will always remember him for the overall massive positive contribution he has made to our club in both his spells here. Who knows who will apply but I hope we go for a young manager on the up who will bring his own staff in and that the club give him some time (and decent financial backing) to build things up again.
if its Burr,he's more of a bring bad players good instead of flashing the cash...just what RW is after me thinks....
