Shame he couldn't score a penalty for Norwich but he did everything else in his power to ensure they went through. How funny was that?
Graham, I salute you.
I thought William should have got a pen, and no card. The defender took both his shins and not the ball, and his fall looked like the result of the tackle. But the Ref right there ought to know better than anyone looking at a camera anywhere. VAR for goal line, side line, and offside looks fine, but apart from the player himself a Ref, right there able to see, but also smell and sense the whole situation is far better placed than a camera can show if it was a good dive or a foul. His performance was immensely enjoyable and I actually think he got all the diving decisions right. The Pedro one was clear cut, with no contact whatsoever, whilst Morata felt a touch on his shoulder and projected himself forwards and downwards as if starting the 100 metres freestyle. Obviously the Willian incident was the most contentious, where the defender made a somewhat reckless challenge, but Willian had begun his dive before the slight contact was made. All the pundits said it was an obvious penalty, but I thought the ref got that one right too. Shame about the pens.
But they were playing Norwich so I was looking to see all 22 players get red carded.I think we are missing the point. It's CFC so the fairness of it goes out of the window! Agree re Willian and found it hilarious that the other 2 dives resulted in red cards. couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.

Yeah, I was struggling with just who I wanted to lose more. It was Chelsea, but only just!
