I have no doubts he will sign and the PR work has begun in earnest. If he comes and starts scoring goals he will shut people like me up but if he misses one of those against you know who all hell will break out. Lol I'm thawing from my stance a week or so ago.
This Graham business is now a joke in my eyes. It has now reached the stage that if the lad does come then he will show more guts than any one of the faceless heroes who have booed him, called him names etc based on a throwaway line in an interview. If MON wants him then that is good enough for me.

I'm thawing from my arse upwards from the south stand, he will come, he will score goals, he'll get the winner at st sports ibrox! Hard fought point that tonight against a brilliant 1 touch football team with a stride in there step. Happy with a point
TBH I'm really surprised that Graham was in their squad tonight, usually clubs don't pick a player if they know there is transfer imminent.... Vorm didn't play tonight as its been suugested he's going to be sold to Man U or Barcelona ... maybe Graham isn't coming to us ?
Your trivialising a very poor choice of words, used by a supporter of our local rivals, to slag us all off here at SAFC. If someone bragged in the national media that your daughter was the last girl he would go out with in the whole world but then came knocking at your door to take her out, would you consider it a throwaway line then and laugh it off? Or like the majority of people want to punch the twat in the mouth and tell him to f-off? Danny Graham, if he comes, has to do ALL the running to gain our support and if he is not prepared to work harder than any other player and prove his worth then he may as well not bother coming at all. If he does come and shows us what he is worth, then fair play to him and he may well turn this around. That's down to him and him alone.
Watch JOS around 40 seconds in he talks about DG & has a little laugh to himself i think all the players know hes going to sign. Or hes totally shocked Titus made a world class tackle. http://www.skysports.com/video/inline/0,,16474_8454766,00.html
Super Kevin Phillips once said "The Sunderland fans are great, but if I have one criticism of them, when the going gets tough they turn on the team too quick when the support is needed the most and that dosn't help".
N'Diaye is nowhere near being ready for the premier league. Bookmark the thread for this time next season. MON is a fool if he signs Danny Graham after the chorus of boo's tonight. It's a signing that will (and already has) split the fans right down the middle. You think that having a completely dvided fanbase is going to make for a good atmosphere or a positive crowd when we are playing ****e 4-5-1 with 30% possession garbage?
http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11095/8454848/? Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill revealed after the 0-0 draw with Swansea that he is hoping to bring in at least two players before the transfer deadline. He said: "We have made bids for a couple of players, but we didn't make them overnight, we made them some time ago. "Of course, it's absolutely the prerogative of the team to whom we have put these bids in either to accept or not accept as the case may be. "We wouldn't be the only club in that sort of position, this idea that we are waiting until January 31. "There may be a host of signings in the next 48 hours, I don't know, but there's every possibility because that seems to have been the way of it in the last number of years." Sunderland have been strongly linked with Swansea striker Danny Graham although O'Neill has yet to make his interest public. Graham's appearance as a second-half substitute at the Stadium of Light was booed by sections of the home crowd, a reflection of his Geordie roots and his comments about their club in a fanzine interview O'Neill said with a smile: "I think he is himself reportedly a Newcastle fan, so I think the reaction to that was probably quite a natural reaction. But Bob Stokoe was looking down at him." ----------------------------- Looking at the last paragraph says it all for me... MON is living in a bygone era. As supporters of SAFC we have had to endure clark, choprat and bruce since the days of 73.... The dynamics of how the fans react to associates of nufc has completely changed over the last 15 years.... I hope MON is still smiling in 12-24 months time however I doubt he will be. The problem with signing Danny Graham is that it is a foregone conclusion that it will go pear-shaped. Accidents waiting to happen are always foregone conclusions and it is only a matter of time.... If Graham comes in before the deadline, I'll stick to my word and depart. Don't wish to spoil whatever delusions that the remaining fans will have about the future. Bitterly dissapointed in MON.
I've noticed you've left hutchinson off your list why is that you cannot judge an individual by what others have done.I will give the lad a chance if he comes and will continue to until he gives me a reason not to.
After your wondeful welcome tonight of DG10,, both Swans and Mackems have to question his motivation/other issues if this deal does get done. Good luck for the rest of the season, but an extra striker to supply competition to Fletcher (strangely the very same reason he wants out from a club giving him a chance of his only ever possible major silverware) seems to be u strengthening in the wrong position imho (based on our last game, tonight and what I have seen of you on highlights. Don't take it the wrong way, but we have sold many a wantaway player during our 'rise' who have excelled in our system (which is quite specific) and a resounding ZERO have so far gone on to even match the heights/performances/financial value they reached under us. Theres always a first though.
Spot on the money mate. O'Neill will be finish as a Sunderland manager if he signs this geordie pr***. I give O'neill 1 year before he's sack or he walks because of the fans. BOOKMARK THIS COMMENT.
I trivialised nothing. The remarks he made amount to nothing more than me saying I am never going to watch that lot again after a poor game. In fact I did give up on SAFC years ago after following them for a life time. But then I have been a supporter since the 40s and that only lasted a short while. As I see it if the lad is willing to give up the opportunity of playing in a final at Wembley and qualifying for Euro football next year then the draw to Sunderland far outweighs any perceived hatred or bias towards us. I do note however that your stance on DG is mellowing when you say if he comes and is a success then fair play to him. A contradiction to your past statements, but at least you may be seeing the light. Would have answered sooner but went out for the day.
