El Alonso has only one account to clear that one up. This function should be quite useful to keep things in check here, I'm guessing when the F1 season starts and 606 closes then there could be a deluge of wummers heading this way.
Can you ban certain IP's to permanently ban people if needed. As at the moment banning a username will only inconvenience wums rather than stop them?
The admins can do that I think. If it's the case that somebody has a ridiulous number of accounts set up then I will pass it on to them, as there's no need for that at all. Some people have two accounts for innocent reasons, like they might have forgotten their password or wanted a name change before it was available (I did that myself, didn't want to be Ashbees Plums anymore) so it's not a good idea to generally stop people having more than one account unless they are abusing the boards.
Was just thinking for serial wums and the like. Maybe 1 week bans as a warning to start with. I'm sure this place will settle down in a few weeks.
really? F1 forums usually get proper noisy after the first race. Disgruntled or jubilant wums will come on to wind up each other
More than one moderator is the best solution I think if things get out of hand, if I do see the same user with multiple ids then I will pass it on to the admins as it's obviously not right for that to be happening- I should imagine that they would ban the users but that would be up to them.
A bit of banters fine but until it gets going for real then will have to wait and see what happens. For me if it's completely off-topic or just abuse then I'd be happy to delete it, like I saw DC being called a '******' today, from my point of view that's unacceptable so I deleted the comment.
The same idiot who has been PM'ing me all day because I wont appologise for calling him an idiot. He just called me a twat too just now but thats cool I can deal with that. I can take abuse on the chin.
I enjoy the atmosphere of both of the spanish GPs, but Valencia is a bit of a crap track. That said, I'm ecstatic that Bahrain is cancelled for this year, there shouldn't be a Grand Prix there; the track is dull and it is practically empty for a season opener! I hope it goes back to Melbourne regularly, that's where it belongs, hopefully they'll keep it on (which looks unlikely )
