It’s probably the second best series I’ve watched, it would have been the best had the last two episodes not been a disappointment.

Definitely worth watching.

 

It's difficult to bring anything to an end that everyone loves as this conversation shows.

I watched the first 2 episodes of GOT, got to the bit where Sean Bean merked a dog and was bored out of my mind so didn't bother with anymore.

My mate called the last series being **** a little while ago. Apparently something like a billion people watch the show so if they make the last season gash/underwhelming then do a remake they will make a fortune as everyone will watch it (effectively) twice. He also said that this is the first season where the book hasn't been released or something so the script for the rest of the show hadn't been written for this.

I might watch it now it has finished, am ****ing glad it has though as it is all anyone has been talking about the sad ****s. Even had a meeting a couple of weeks ago where the chair did it as a GOT theme. Everyone loved it, I left. The two might be related

Is it true they made the last season before the book has even been written? If that's the case no wonder it was ****. They follow books for a reason... rarely is it the other way round.

I do intend to watch it at some point but it's a hefty commitment. Got other **** to watch first.

 

Yeah, the book writer was slow as ****, hasn't released a new book in 8 years, so they had to wing the last couple of seasons!
I think the author gave them the outlines of the major plot points, but the showrunners then did it themselves.

 

I didn't say anything, just my mates theory. Almost certainly not on purpose but they wouldn't be too bothered if it was **** if a remake could be done when that guy who wrote the books releases the next one.

I liked it. And the more I thought about it, it the more I liked it.

Maybe I’m the pretentious arty-farty type though. Still, it’s good to use your brain sometimes

 

Initially never took interest in GOT as the whole fantasy stuff doesn't usually appeal. Torrented the whole series and started watching it a few months back, at times I found it a bit slow but in general I liked it, this last season felt a little rushed but overall I thought it was good. Battle scenes were top notch.

RE Vikings, I think it's brilliant. Gritty, partly historical, good acting and good fight scenes. Depending on how the final season goes, it's probably the best show I've watched.

 

The first 4 seasons of Vikings were good, but then it got ****....have no interest in watching the last season.
